In France, an artist is frequently referred to as a "vedette". I save the word from someone who is unique, a presence, and whose talent is nothing less than a tour de force.

No one better meets this description than WING. Sometimes called the Asian Sensation, the Chinese Barbra Streisand, or a modern day Florence Foster Jenkins, WING is truly one of a kind.

Born Wing Han Tsang in Hong Kong, WING longed to hone and share her vocal talents. Her determination and sheer willpower kept her going in this lifelong dream. It was inevitable that a talent so rare would get noticed. And so it was. Offered a scholarship to sing in New Zealand, WING packed her bags and headed to the remote yet romantic island off the coast of Australia.

Generous to a fault and eager to share her new singing know how, WING began touring senior citizen homes and other venues, and frequently performed for free. Her only compensation was the joy she brought to others.

Kindness and talent rarely go unnoticed. And so her vocal stylings caught the attention of the creators of South Park, who featured her in an episode. But contrary to popular belief, it was not the creators of South Park who discovered her. By the time she appeared on South Park, she had numerous CDs, many of which were sold out.

To date, WING has recorded 16 CDs and shows no signs of stopping. She has covered everything from AC/DC, to the Bee Gees, to Abba, to the Beatles and Elvis. Her voice simply knows no limits.

WING has also appeared in the USA in several limited engagements--most notable was her appearance at New York City's Birdland. A virtual sell-out, WING's performance at Birdland proved that she is not a studio trick like many of today's singers. What she does on CD she easily does live as well.

In short, no one deserves the title "vedette" more than WING. Her spirit and her voice have already made her a living legend and a force to be reckoned with. Long live the Vedette of Asia. Long live WING.
